I love the World Cup. Every four years it delivers a rollercoaster of drama, ecstasy and heartbreak. So when the chance came to write Sportsbet's World Cup campaign, I was all in.
This tournament already had the ingredients to be a spectacular dumpster fire. FIFA on their 7th yellow card, the USA pulling enough geopolitical fouls to keep VAR busy for months, plus guaranteed OTT player theatrics and controversial decisions. But I like to think we brought the funny side of football to life, (without the million-dollar cameos). These spots were a joy to write. Kudos to director Julian Lucas for bringing them off the page.
